Putting Your Health First
Make the most of a bad situation is a great motto for anyone with a serious health condition to follow.
Learning to do things on the days that you feel good, and rest the days you don’t, is often hard. It’s especially hard if you were an over-achiever before your sickness. It is important that you learn to follow this advice though. Doing too much on good days will lead to more bad days!
Letting others help with everyday tasks is another thing people are reluctant to do. When you have a chronic health problem you HAVE to put your health first. Pride has to take a backseat, and common sense must prevail. If someone is willing to help, let them. It doesn’t mean you are less of a person, it just means you are admitting you need a little assistance. Everyone does at one time or another. You would help a friend in need, so let someone else do the same for you.
Following these two bits of advice will allow you to be healthier and happier in your everyday life.

We all think we need to be Superwoman or Superman all the time and not ask for help which is so wrong. It is o.k. to ask for help. We are human, not robots.
Yep, we have to learn to pick our battles so to speak.
