Weight Loss Update
I wrote a post a few days ago about my lack of weight loss. I have been doing very well on my diet and exercise for the last few months and was seeing no results for the efforts. Well, I have finally lost a pound! It’s not much, but sure beats nothing.
Just goes to show that perseverance does pay off. I could have given up a long time ago. It was tempting to say to heck with it and just do what I wanted. This really isn’t a good option for me with my health problems, but people do it every day. I decided to tough it out though. Thank goodness I did!
Now, I just hope to lose a few pounds during the month of October. I don’t ask for much. Three to five pounds a month would make me happy. Some people lose that in one week. For those of us that aren’t that lucky, all we can do is hang in there. Our time will come!

I agree with you my friend and I both decided that we needed to start losing weight but the healthy way since we both have been the yo-yo dieters we all know or hear about but we agreed that exercise and healthy eating was the only way so at first it seemed that we lost tons of weight feeling great and questioned why we hadn’t done this earlier but then after I believe about month 4 or 5 the weight was not coming off and I just started getting upset that I am doing all this and giving up all the good stuff but I am not losing and couldn’t figure it out then my friend called me one night and said I kinda have been cheating the last month but I want you to know what I have been doing and it finally made sense to me we live in different states but with the phone and email were keeping each other posted sending pictures all that and she only hit about a month of this wall hitting nothing the rock in the road and then she was losing again so I assumed I would get over the rock and be back on track now when she said she had been cheating I wanted to know what it was she had been doing, she told me about this natural supplement that she was taking called Body Lean 2 and how she also was trying an energy supplement and joint mobility and that it was natural, she still ate healthy and was exercising but that when she started taking the supplements it was not like anything before she didn’t fill all jittery and had the crashes and it helped maintain her control to not over eat and had tons of energy and was able to exercise longer with out feeling the pain from her joints hurting, so I decided that I would give it a shot I mean I was a little skeptical just because it seems that nothing really is what it says it is but after taking the products for over a month I have lost ten pounds I mean yes I still eat healthy and exercise but it helped me get over that rock that I thought I never would. So ya for us that can’t just eat what we want or lose that 5 pounds a week there is away for us to reach our goals. There are many sites and companies and products that say they will do all these things but I have never taken anything that really worked that was worth the money so I suggest for those of you that are struggling to maybe give it a try. www.mlcmarketing.net/

Thank you. I had a few rough days, but am back on track now. I try to make myself believe that the weight loss is secondary to the health benefits. I convince myself most of the time!
I wouldn’t normally post to a blog but I like your post therefore I was forced to do so. Straying off the topic slightly, what do you think concerning walking? Which is generally being advertised as the best exercise to burn fat.
I believe walking is a wonderful exercise because almost anyone can do it. To burn fat, you need to work up in speed and distance I think. Start out slowly, and increase your pace as stamina builds. Then you can go longer distances. Speed walking is something you might want to check out after you’ve been walking a while.
Also, it’s good to vary the surfaces you are walking on, and inclines. Walking on the beach will use different muscles and feel different than walking on pavement. Going uphill will burn more calories that flat surfaces.
