		<description>I believe walking is a wonderful exercise because almost anyone can do it. To burn fat, you need to work up in speed and distance I think. Start out slowly, and increase your pace as stamina builds. Then you can go longer distances. Speed walking is something you might want to check out after you've been walking a while. 

Also, it's good to vary the surfaces you are walking on, and inclines. Walking on the beach will use different muscles and feel different than walking on pavement. Going uphill will burn more calories that flat surfaces.
