Working When Tired

Published by sunnflr at 3:03 pm under Life Edit This

Some days I feel like I’ve been run over with a Mac truck. It’s all I can do to get out of bed, let alone do some work. But most of the time the work must go on.

What I’ve found is that I need more breaks on these days. My eyes need a rest from the computer and my aching body needs to move more often. So I make time for frequent stops throughout the day.

If all else fails, you may just have to chalk the day up as a lost cause. I’ve had times when my mind just wasn’t functioning up to par and everything I wrote was garbled. It’s better to call it quits than send in subpar work for consideration.

Sometimes taking care of ourselves has to come before work. That’s just the way it is.

Today is a lost cause for me. Heck, the fact that I was able to stay focused enough to write one blog is enough of an accomplishment for me today. Thanks for posting this, though, I was beginning to beat myself up for not getting anything done.

Nah, don’t beat yourself up. Some days are just like this. I know I have plenty of them!
